THIS SITE IS IN MEMORY OF BERNARD CONLON
BERNARD CONLON PASSED AWAY ON THE 2ND DECEMBER 2007, AT THE AGE OF 56, AFTER BEEN IN THE NAVY FROM AGE 16 TO 51.
BERNARD WAS BORN IN SUNDERLAND THEN MOVED TO PLYMOUTH.HE LEAVES BEHIND 3 BROTHERS AND 5 SISTERS.
BERNARD IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS AND A BROKEN HEART THAT I SIT HERE TO DEDICATE THIS TRIBUTE TO YOU. AT THE AGE OF 16 YOU WENT OFF TO SEA, YOU WERE ALWAYS HAPPY, LAUGHING AND ALWAYS A JOKER YOU WOULD GIVE YOUR LAST TO ANYONE. WHEN YOU CAME HOME ON LEAVE WITH DEN, YOUS WOULD GO OUT FOR A DRINK WITH JOHN AND ALWAYS COME BACK LEGLESS. REMEMBER THE LAUGHS WE HAD AT OUR MARGARET AND DAVE'S WEDDING, ALL THE CREAM CAKES THAT WERE GETTING FLUNG ABOUT, YOU WERE A GOOD SHOT BECAUSE YOU GOT ME RIGHT IN THE FACE. THIS TRIBUTE COMES ABOUT BERNARD BECAUSE OUR BROTHER PATRICK WILL BE COMING FROM NEW ZEALAND IN JULY, WE WERE TRYING TO GET IN TOUTCH WITH YOU TO COME UP FOR A WEEK, THAT WAS ON THE 24TH OF APRIL 08, TO BE TOLD THAT YOU PASSED AWAY ON 26TH JANUARY, ON YOUR BIRTHDAY. THAT WAS BAD ENOUGH BUT WHEN I CHECKED WITH THE CORONER IN PLYMOUTH, THE NEWS WAS DEVISTATING THAT YOU PASSED AWAY ON 2ND DECEMBER 07 NOT THE 26TH JANUARY THAT WE WERE TOLD, IT IS SO DISPICABLE THAT A FAMILY CAN PUT ANOTHER FAMILY THROUGH ALL THIS PAIN. BERNARD I HAD TO PHONE NEW ZEALAND TO TELL OUR BROTHER PATRICK THE DEVISTATING NEWS, WE JUST CAN'T IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT YOU. WE KNOW THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR HEARTS. IF YOUR FEET FEEL WET IN GOD'S GARDEN, IT'S JUST ALL THE TEARS OFF YOUR FAMILY WASHING OVER YOUR FEET. GIVE OUR LOVE TO OUR MAM AND DAD.
LOVE FROM
SANDRA &
JOHN

Hi Bernard,
Well 1 year today since you went on your long journey,
hope you are having fun! On a more serious note, we think of you all the time, I had a great time when I visited England, to catch up with all the family.
4 weeks of fun but drank too much beer & put on too much weight.
Miss you heaps!!!
Love From Pat & family.
Well Barney it's been 12 months since you passed away, but we don't need an anniversary to remember you, we think of you every day. Sleep peacefully Barney. All our love, Den, Jan, Mark, Darren and Dean. xxx You were simply the BEST!!!

to a dear brother-in-law, uncle and above all friend,
you were a "a one off", barney!! a great character with a big heart!! and oh how we loved you. i know den took the news of your passing quite badly, but he did manage to say goodbye on your final voyage. my memories of you go back many, many years & they are all lovely ones! i will always be there for donna, as i always have been, but then you must have known that.
we often talk about the good times when the boys were growing up & how you used to play with them.
i hope you are sleeping peacefully, god bless you barney, you were one in a million!
all our love,
jan & den brewster,
mark, darren & dean.

To my Dad
Hello Dad , I miss you all the time and still forget that your not here but i know that your watching over me as i have had a few close shaves in the last few months so between you and my mum im being well looked after . Your jake thinks about you too and he misses you so much . I know that you must be happy now where you are and that your life wasnt the life you should have had . I remember the fun guy that you were but sadly over the years it was sucked away through war and strife but your not forgotten by any of your family or friends . I wish the clock could be turned back and i wish i had tried harder to convince you to lead the life you so deserved .
Its very sad that your family wasnt told about your passing and nothing can bring back the chance for them to say goodbye to you but they had a farewell for you and they have a place to go to speak to you .
Say hello to my mum for me and keep looking down on jacob and i , especially jacob !!!!! big kiss dad
Love you and miss you
Donna xx
